- The conflict between McDonald's and Vikram Bakshi's Connaught Plaza Restaurants. On 21 August 2017, Vikram Bakshi, managing director (MD) of CPRL, woke up to a notice of termination; he realized that in only 15 days, the brand he had helped build in north and east India may not exist any more.
